A Visit to The Pop Culture Antique Museum in Englewood, FL
Step inside and prepare for a dazzling sensory plunge. Vintage pinball machines, Pac-Man nostalgia, quirky collectibles, and more await at The Pop Culture Antique Museum in Englewood, Florida.

A Blast from the Past on Every Shelf

Located in Olde Englewood Village, this vibrant treasure trove is celebrated as Southwest Florida’s largest retro store.

It’s also a top destination for “freaks, geeks, gamers, and collectors.”

Since 2009, The Pop Culture Antique Museum has been the quirky heart of memory‑lane shopping, offering rare finds, nostalgic toys, vintage video games, and pieces that stir both “childhood memories and nightmares.”
Curated by Rick Kingston, the Kooky Catman

The owner, Rick “The Kooky Catman” Kingston, took us on a playful and eclectic tour of the museum.

What an experience! We just showed up, unannounced, not sure what to expect. We were not disapponted.

It’s still hard to find the proper words when there was so much to see and absorb.

This is why I’m sharing lots of photos.

The tour felt very personal and was certainly unforgettable. Rick is very passionate about his collection.

We had a good time talking about everything we loved from the 1970s, 1980s, and beyond.

As fellow Gen-Xers, we had a lot in common.
Niches that Charm Every Collector

Whether you’re drawn to sci-fi, vintage gaming, action figures, or pop culture oddities, this place truly has it all:
- Geek & Sci-Fi Memorabilia: Star Trek, Star Wars, and more.
- Retro Gaming Heaven: Old-school video game systems, cabinets, and that pulse of nostalgia; in fact, it’s home to one of the largest collections in the region.

- Freaky Collectibles & Quirky Treasures: From oddities to dolls, you’ll find treasures you never knew you wanted.
- Unique Gifts: Searching for that perfect, offbeat present? It’s here.

Stock is constantly refreshed. There’s even a 2,000 sq ft storage vault brimming with items just waiting to be put on the shelves.
Shop for the Kitties

Here’s a heartwarming twist: The Pop Culture Antique Museum funds Puffy Paws Kitty Haven, a local 501(c)(3) no-kill cat hospice and rescue.
This unique partnership means every vintage toy, record, or collectible isn’t just a piece of nostalgia; it’s a lifeline for hundreds of cats who might otherwise have nowhere to go.

Puffy Paws provides around-the-clock care for special-needs and senior felines, giving them comfort, love, and dignity in their final days.

Make an Offer

There were no prices on most of the items we were interested in. Rick said to make an offer.

A few of things we inquired about, he said weren’t for sale.

Rick does a great on-line business selling a lot of his inventory. Just visit his website.
Although we didn’t purchase anything, we made a donation to Puffy Paws on on our way out.
Put this Place on Your Authentic Florida Bucket List

This is one of Florida’s most delightfully bizarre and heartfelt attractions. It’s definitely not your average museum!

If you’re a nostalgic explorer, a collector in search of rare relics, or someone seeking a smile, this place delivers authentic, off-beat charm.

It’s a great mix of buzzing pinball sounds and the sight of “vintage” characters.

Baby Boomers and Gen-Xers will find it a fun trip down Memory Lane.

Each corner tells a story, each shelf bridges eras, and every purchase propels furry nonprofit heroes forward.
