Pizza Disclaimer
When it comes to pizza, one thing is for sure — it’s a hot topic. Like politics, religion, and subjects sure to make you bristle, everyone has an opinion.
And I get it. I see your opinion and raise you extra cheese, I acknowledge your opinion, I respect what you’re saying… the pizza in me honors the pizza in you — how’s that?
That said, I will offer this disclaimer. I have had (molte) pizza in Naples, Italy, where the classic Margherita pie was born.
After that, something in me changed. I was ruined forever on pizza. Don’t think pizza can be life-changing? Oh, what you are missing…
Every Italian knows that pizza in Napoli is the standard for the pie. But alas, unless you are there, you must be here.
So I continue to eat, kissing frogs and hoping to break the spell.
Doesn’t mean I can’t have a little fun.
Best Pizza in Naples, Florida
La Trattoria
878 5th Ave S, Naples
One online search for pizza in Naples, FL and you’ll find La Trattoria on 5th Avenue South is always at the top of the list.
But that’s not why it’s on ours (though we love the show of good taste). It’s because they make excellent, classic Napoli-style pizza.
It’s terrific!
You’d be hard-pressed to find a pizza place in Naples that’s more authentically Neapolitan than La Trattoria, one of the best Italian restaurants in Naples and a mighty fine pizzeria.
Plus, the rest of the menu is equally good.
There are loads of pizza choices at La Trattoria, both with red sauce and white. The Margherita is your best comparison to pizza in Napoli — simple and delicious.
The capricciosa pizza and marechiaro pizza are also good.
And for the white sauce lovers, the prosciutto e rucola, Toscana pizza, or the quattro formaggi pizza are good bets.
No trip to La Trattoria would be complete without a bottle or your favorite red.
Oh, and if you’re a pasta fiend, they do the traditional Cacio e Pepe melted in the wheel of parmigiano reggiano — a la Roma!

Moravela’s Pizza
1836 Airport Pulling Rd, Naples
If you’re just looking for a casual pizza place that does every element of pizza well – from a great crust to a solid sauce – you’ll want to stop by Moravela’s.
You can’t go wrong with any of the classics at Moravela’s Pizza. The supreme, margherita and the meat lovers pizza (carnivores will love it) are all good.
But if you’d like to change things up, order the square-shaped Supreme Sicilian pizza or the white broccoli pizza.
Moravela’s Pizza also has gluten-free options for most of their pizzas, as well as a handful of different vegetarian pizza options.
Twisted Sheep Pizza & Brew
3802 Tamiami Trail E, Naples
Many locals consider the pizzas served at Twisted Sheep Pizza & Brew to be their favorite pizza in Naples, Florida.
If you’re looking for a place that offers loads of fun toppings, you might agree.
With unique specialty pizzas and an amazing selection of local beers on tap, it’s no surprise that Twisted Sheep Pizza & Brew boasts rave reviews.
Our favorite part of Twisted Sheep Pizza & Brews are the unique toppings.
The buff chick pizza (below) is topped with crispy buttermilk fried chicken and jalapeno ranch — tangy and pretty good, even for a pizza purist.
Or try the ‘pig with a sombrero’ pie, which includes braised pork and fire-roasted salsa!
If none of the specialty pies catch your eye, you can always make your own. Choose from a wide variety of toppings, including artichokes, bacon jam, meatballs, and feta cheese.
To round out your visit to Twisted Sheep Pizza & Brew, you’ll definitely want to order a cold beer. it’s a classic pair!

LowBrow Pizza & Beer
3148 Tamiami Trail E, Naples
I’ll be perfectly honest. We like LowBrow. It’s the kind of place that’s fun and relaxing, and never takes itself too seriously.
Frankly we weren’t expecting to find some of the best pizza in Naples, Florida when we went in the first time.
At first glance, the menu is fun, the waitstaff is friendly and knowledgeable — asking questions and offering feedback like a therapist, all in the name of finding you your perfect pizza match.
I was afraid it was all a big set-up. But then the pizza came, and oh boy. Really flavorful crust, fresh toppings. What more could one ask for?
All of the pizzas at LowBrow Pizza & Brew are worth a try.
Order the Maggie pizza, the Porker pizza, the Cheesus H. Crust or the Cortez the Killer pie. You can even order “pizza bones,” which is tasty pizza crust with garlic butter and house made red sauce.
You may not want to eat here every night I guess.
This Naples pizzeria also serves up some fantastic local beers on tap like the Olde Naples Blonde from Riptide Brewing, the Islamorada Citrus Ale from Islamorada Beer Company, or the OYA from Fort Myers Brewing.
Sophia’s Ristorante Italiano
3545 Pine Ridge Rd, Naples
Like La Trattoria, Sophia’s Ristorante Italiano may be best known as one of the favorite Italian restaurants in Naples.
So it may surprise you to know their pizza is some of the pizza in Naples.
Typically, when you visit Sophia’s Ristorante Italiano, you’re served a delicious, thin-crust pizza as an appetizer. This cheesy, flavorful goodness is such a great way to start a meal!
But recently, the restaurant has decided to offer a separate pizza menu! Keep an eye out for these new pies.
Grandpa’s Pizza
27030 Old 41 Rd, Bonita Springs
Grandpa’s offered a wide variety of pizzas, calzones, and stromboli and draws folks from miles around.
They offer thin or thick crusts and add your favorite toppings.
Choose a green or black olive pizza or more traditional toppings like pepperoni and sausage.
Or step it up a notch with one of Grandpa’s gourmet pizzas like the Classic Deluxe or Grandma’s pizza.
If you’re a fan of thick crust, Grandpa’s also has a variety of Sicilian-style pizzas. These can be ordered as is or with the same toppings as the other pizzas on the menu.
Favorites include the Sicilian cheese pizza, the Sicilian sausage pizza, and the Classic Deluxe Sicilian Pizza.
Get a whole pie or treat yourself to a slice! No matter which you order it will be crisp and delicious.

Vesuvio’s
2555 Tamiami Trail N., Naples
Vesuvio’s serves up some awesome pizza, there’s no doubt about that.
But there’s one thing that sets Vesuvio’s apart from the competition: the size of their pizzas.
Many pizza places around the U.S. have rather small pizzas with some “large” pizzas being just 11 inches in diameter. But Vesuvio’s smallest pizza size is 12”, and it only goes up from there!
You can order any of Vesuvio’s pizzas, including margherita pizza, white pizza, and Vesuvio’s special pizza, in 12”, 16” or 18”, depending on how hungry your group is.
But if you have an extremely large group, there’s another pizza option that you’ll want to consider.
Vesuvio’s also offers a massive 28”-inch cheese pizza! You can also add toppings to this huge pizza for an extra fee.
Cosmos Ristorante & Pizzeria
536 Tamiami Trail N, Naples
Gianluca Corso, the owner of Cosmos Ristorante & Pizzeria, has been sharing his family’s Italian recipes at his Naples restaurant for years.
There are over a dozen different pizzas to try at Cosmos Ristorante & Pizzeria.
You would think the restaurant’s most well-known pizza, Cosmo’s famous pizza, is the one to go with, but that’s not necessarily what we’d recommend. That’s more a garbage pie — topped with everything from meatballs to banana peppers to anchovies to spinach. Meh.
For our taste, the eggplant Napoli pizza is heaven, but there are others to try: Grandma’s pizza, the pesto pizza, or the Quattro Stagioni pizza.

So, whether you’re ready to call me out or invite me to dinner, it’s all good.

I hope some of our top pics are new to you and you’ll try them out.
